A public adjuster is an adjuster that works directly for the insured (the homeowner), not for the insurer (the company). A public adjuster's job is to make sure the insured gets everything they are entitled to per their insurance policy, and to make sure the insured's contractor (or contractors) get paid for the work they finish.
If you need to file a claim, or already have, and are concerned about getting everything you are entitled to under your insurance policy, then you may want to consider hiring a public adjuster to represent you asap.
A deductible is an amount that you're responsible for in the event of a loss. This is the amount you must pay out-of-pocket, and insurance covers the remainder. If your claim is subject to a coverage limit, then your deductible should be absorbed into the excess over the limit; contact us if your insurer didn't offer to do this.
We have years of experience helping clients get the most out of their claims. It's easier if you contact us BEFORE you report your claim to your insurer...but we can still help you if your claim has already been reported, as well.
Are you a contractor that is having trouble dealing with an insurer? Contact us ASAP for consulting services that can help you get the most out of your claim(s), too!
Are you a home or business owner that has had a bad experience filing an insurance claim? Contact us ASAP to see if we can help your next claim go a bit more smoothly.
